The Ka Pakele Rum Bar

We are now accepting reservation requests for our Private Rum Pairing Dinners, hosted once per month! These monthly dinners will feature our seasonal rum and food pairing menu as well as our a la carte seasonal cocktail menu.

We will still be hosting open seatings throughout the month, which do NOT require a reservation. Be sure to follow us @dunedintiki, for upcoming dates and details. (Please note the food pairing menu will not be available during open seatings.)

Our guests are greeted with unique crafted cocktails, exotic rums, and tropical cuisine that hoist you to a paradise within. You will be met with a captain and his crew of scallywags that will take you on a journey of rum discovery, one dram at a time. Our Story

The Honu has evolved from a small Hawaiian diner-style restaurant to a full-fledged Polynesian tiki experience. The Ka Pakele Rum Bar, separate from our famous outdoor Tiki Bar, is the newest addition to the Honu. The KaPakele offers exclusive access to the most sought after rums from all over the world. Upon arriving you will be met with the sounds of tropical music, squawking birds, and crashing waves helping you to escape.

Voyager Information

The Ka Pakele Rum Bar is for guests 21+ and requires reservations. Reservations are available Fridays and Saturdays with the option of two nightly seatings; one at 6:00 pm and one at 8:30 pm. Each seating is limited to two hours, where you will experience a journey in rum tastings, paired with four courses of culinary delights. In addition to the food and rum pairing menu, you will have the opportunity to purchase exclusive craft cocktails created with only the best ingredients, using molecular gastronomy. The food and cocktail menus change monthly, making each experience in the rum bar a unique culinary voyage.

Pairing Dinner with Rum $110, without Rum $85

A credit card is required to be held on file to reserve your spot. If you fail to arrive for your reservation and do not call within 24 hours to cancel or reschedule, the card on file is charged a non-refundable fee of $50 per person.

The Ka Pakele Kill Devil Rum Club is an exclusive club created for rum lovers. Once inside the The Ka Pakele Rum Bar you are invited to purchase a rum passport for a mere $25 shillings. This passport will come with a complimentary Ka Pakele enamel pin. Every rum the voyager (you) tries is stamped in the passport on their rum journey.
